C&V Senior Care has been in business since 2008, but the partnership between its founders, Verna Carson and Katherine Vanderhorst, extends back more than twenty years. In 2015, Dr. Amy Craven, who previously worked with the pair, joined as a partner. Together they bring over 60 years of combined experience in all aspects of senior care and have published two prominent research projects on the clinical and cost effectiveness of behavioral health care.
They are national experts on developing, operationalizing, and marketing financially successful programs. Their clinical expertise allows them to both empathize as well as problem solve alongside of family members – many of whom trying to keep the promise made to a loved family member that the family will never place that loved one. Dr. Carson and Katherine Vanderhorst draw on their extensive psychiatric home care experience to effectively mentor nurses and occupational therapists who are new to this field. Dr. Craven, who has extensive clinical and personal experience with Alzheimer's and Dementia care adds additional expertise in managing neuro rehabilitation.
C&V provides both on-site and online training, marketing and operational supports to its clients. They provide solutions for managing a growing dementia population and training programs that allow home care facilities to differentiate themselves in their market. They help to serve a number of different areas within the caregiving process, assisting Home Health Care Agencies, Assisted Living Facilities, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Board & Care Homes, Continuing Care Retirement Communities, Hospital Staff and Geriatric Care Managers.
