Teaching Now Living-Part 16- Consistency of a Schedule

Consistency, Consistency

Ellie’s personal assistant has been working inconsistent days over the past three months due to personal issues. This is extremely confusing to Ellie and she can become frustrated over it. When she is unsure of her schedule the following day Ellie will often lose sleep, or call her daughters repeatedly with questions.

Tip: People suffering from memory loss are more likely to succeed with familiarity. Maintaining a schedule or routine when possible will help avoid confusion. Disruptions in daily routines can sometimes elevate anxiety and often make it difficult to return to a normal schedule. Daily routines provide us with a sense of comfort and control over our lives.
